Problem: | How to enable and use the Java Console to capture trace information for applets. |
Fix: | The Java Console can capture the activity of an applet that is being executed in the browser on the local machine (i.e. – the ‘Select a project’ picklist in myPrimavera.) To enable the Java Console and capture trace information: 1. Launch Internet Explorer 2. Go the Tools menu and click on Internet Options 3. Click on the Advanced tab 4. Scroll down to the Microsoft VM category 5. Check the box for Java Consoole Enabled Image may be NSFW. 6. Close and re-start Internet Explorer 7. Go back to the Tools menu and click Sun Java Console, this will start the Java Console 8. Click in the Java Console and press 5, this will set the trace level to 5 (5 will capture the most information) Image may be NSFW. 9. Perform the task for which you want to gather trace information. 10. Use the copy button to copy the trace information into a text or Word document. |
